Student & Family Support

Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC)

The Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child, or WSCC model, is student-centered and emphasizes the role of the community in supporting the school. The WSCC model has 10 components to help our children be healthy, safe, engaged, challenges, and supported.

Oberlin City School District uses the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) model  to identify and create Student & Family Support networks.

Our school leaders work with health and community service partners to improve each child’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development. We strive to align the common goals and use a "whole child" approach to education.
