Oberlin High School Home Football Games To Be Relocated

OBERLIN -- Oberlin City Schools Superintendent Dr. David Hall notified the School Community on Thursday, July 9, 2020 that all Fall (home) football games played at Oberlin College Dick Bailey Field for the 2020-2021 school year will be relocated. Oberlin College has canceled Fall sporting activities due to student safety in the wake of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

“The District has been very closely monitoring the national closure of many Fall college athletics, including those of the Ivy League,” Dr. Hall said. “In anticipation, we have been actively engaged in discussions with our local Lorain County schools to relocate our Fall (home) football games for the 2020-2021 season.”

Hall said once the District has confirmed the locations and times of the Fall (home) football games, all school community members will be notified immediately with the new schedule and update.

To date, there are five home football games scheduled for Oberlin High School for the 2020-2021 school year.

The relocation will not affect the marching band, Hall said.

“We want our school community to know that our Oberlin High School Marching Band will continue to travel with the football team to all relocated home games,” Hall said. “Our mighty band will lead the way.”
