The school health team at Oberlin City Schools actively collaborates with families, students, staff, and community resources in order to promote the health and well-being of Oberlin students.

The school nurses have many responsibilities.  These include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining, evaluating, and interpreting health information of students

• Developing and implementing Individual Health Plans for students

• Participation on IEP teams when needed

• Implementation and supervision of school health policies, protocols, and medications

• Planning and providing emergency training for illness and injury for students and staff

• Helping to control of communicable diseases by enforcing state immunization laws

• Serving as the liaison between home and school on student health-related issues and problems

• Provide health education to students within the district
