AMAM's Community Day

We are excited to announce a partnership between Prospect Elementary School and the Allen Memorial Art Museum (AMAM). This week and next, AMAM educators will be in the 4th-grade art classes at Prospect presenting on Korean art and culture. This is in collaboration with the AMAM’s artist-in-residence program with visiting artist Aimee Lee, who will lead students through an activity in texturing and fusing hanji, traditional Korean paper. In preparation for her visit, students this week combined their knowledge of Korean symbols and paper art to create bamboo and cherry blossoms!

The public is invited to view the 4th-grader’s artwork and make their own with Aimee Lee at the AMAM’s free Community Day event on Saturday, April 27th from noon-3:00 p.m. at 87 N. Main St., Oberlin.
