Best tips when you are under the weather are pretty simple:
1.  Plenty of fluids.  Especially water.
2.  LOTS OF REST
3.  Wash your hands often with soap and water.  This is very important when coming home from public places like school, stores, doctors appointments, etc.
4.  Staying home when ill is the BEST way to prevent the further spread of illness to your friends and peers.
