6th Grade Camping Trip Information

June 1, 2018

Dear Parent and/or Guardian,

One of the first experiences for your upcoming sixth-grade student will be attending an Outdoor Education Camp. Students and the sixth-grade teachers will be going to camp at Beulah Beach in Vermilion, Ohio in September. The dates are September 12th, 13th, and 14th, 2018. Part of the students’ camp fees have been covered by an Oberlin Schools Endowment Grant and the Pepperoni Roll Fundraiser. The rest of the fee is $60.00 per student. The fee may be paid by cash or check (made payable to Langston Middle School).

Fees will be collected at the Sixth Grade Orientation on August 24, 2018 up until the due date on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. You will receive the Parental Consent Forms for camp later this summer with your Langston Middle School packet that will be sent in the mail. You are encouraged to turn those forms in at the orientation as well.

Finally, below is a suggested packing list for your child. The sixth-grade team and a camp representative will be able to field camp questions during orientation. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Our team looks forward to working with both you and your child during the 2018-2019 school year.

Sincerely,

The Sixth Grade Team
