OhioMeansJobs Lorain County 
in partnership with the Lorain County Department of Job & Family Services announces: 2016 TANF Summer Youth Employment Program

Lorain County youth in Oberlin ages 16-24 can apply for positions with local businesses and organizations working in fields such as: Advertising, Eldercare, Customer Service, Creative Arts Non-profit, Public Library, Education, Early Childhood Care, Permaculture and Urban Gardening, Social Services. Youth employed in Oberlin will also receive ongoing soft skills training and mentoring from Oberlin College President's Public Service Fellows.

Requirements
Applicants must be Lorain County residents ages 16-24 receiving or qualify for any of the following:
-Ohio Works First benefits
-SNAP/Food Assistance Benefits
-Publicly Subsidized Child Care
-HEAP Benefits
-2016 Fuel Funds

The application form is attached to this message. If you are under the age of 18 a parent signature is required. If you are in school please bring or submit a copy of your most recent report card. All applicants must provide their Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, Photo ID at the time of application.

Applications will be accepted until May 19, 2016.

Placements

Assignments will be for up to 25 hours/week, and are expected to begin June 1 and continue until August 31, 2016.
